Held on the sidelines of the 22nd Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22), the Forum built on global momentum for a new climate and development agenda, based on commitments made under the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
At the closing plenary, on behalf of the German Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Economic Cooperation, State Secretary Jochen Flasbarth pledged his government’s support for the long-term future of GLF, including plans to host and support the establishment of a GLF secretariat in Bonn, Germany, from 2017 to 2020.
